Paint Loss - Flaking

As you can observe in the images there was a number of locations where the existing paint had effectively fallen away from the artwork. This was particularly evident down the right hand side of the work but there was in reality significant cracking across the whole surface area as well as general discolouration. The frame was also quite dirty and could be polished up in places to provide an overall better final outcome.

The final restored artwork and frame came out to an excellent standard. The paint loss and flaking has been completely restored and we did a general cleaning across the entire surface of the artwork before introducing a fresh protective coating to improve the lifespan of the work. The finished restoration brings the artwork back to its original condition.
